Getting started
Most setup questions can be resolved by confirming the installed version and following the connection from the simulator to the receiving application or device.
Download the latest installer, close the application before updating and keep your existing licence details available. An update can normally be installed over the current version.
NemaStudio, GPSSimul and AIS Targets Creator can be evaluated before purchase. A perpetual licence is delivered by email after a successful online payment.
When diagnosing output, verify the selected serial port or network address, baud rate, firewall settings and whether another application is already using the connection.
Record the exact steps, expected result and actual result. Product version, Windows version, connection settings and the full error message help us investigate efficiently.
Frequently asked questions
These checks cover the questions we see most often. If the issue remains, the support form will guide you through the details we need.
All current installers are available on the Downloads page. Use that page rather than an old installer link so you receive the most recent published version.
NemaStudio stops after 500 generated NMEA sentences per trial run and GPSSimul after 100. AIS Targets Creator is also available as a trial, with a limit of 10 selected targets per output run. Test the required workflow before purchasing and activating a perpetual licence.
Licence delivery starts automatically after Stripe confirms payment. Check the inbox and spam folder for the email address used during checkout. If it does not arrive, send a support request with your order reference and purchase email address—never send payment card details.
Close other software that may be using the port, reconnect the device and check that its Windows driver is installed. For virtual serial ports, confirm that both sides of the port pair exist and that the receiving application uses the opposite side.
First confirm that both applications use matching connection settings. For serial output, check the port and baud rate. For network output, check the IP address, port, UDP mode and Windows firewall. Testing one output connection at a time makes the cause easier to isolate.
A licence is issued for one instance on one computer. Review the licensing information in the help pages before replacing a computer; if you need help with a change, contact support and include the product and licence name. Do not include a licence key in a public screenshot.
