I've downloaded NemaStudio but when I try to run an object I cannot allocate any serial port
Open the Communications Settings tab and click the "Reset all ports" button. NemaStudio will try to locate all the serial ports in your system and show them in the grid. Double click on a cell to change a setting. If you do not see any serial ports you probably need to install either physical or virtual ports. Check also the Windows Device Manager for serial ports.
I've been playing around with the panels in NemaStudio and now I can't find the object explorer panel anymore. How can I get it back?
Open the view menu and select the appropriate panel from the menu. It will come back into view immediately.
I want to use the GPS Auto navigate function in NemaStudio. How can I create a $GPWPL file to use for this?
The Waypoint Location $GPWPL sentence format is as follows: $GPWPL,L.L,A,Y.Y,B,C---C*HH where L.L=latitude, A=N/S, Y.Y=longitude, B=E/W, C=waypoint id, e.g. $GPWPL,5121.742,N,00311.544,E,6-121104*57. You can create and edit a waypoint file with Windows NotePad or with the text editor in NemaStudio. A lot easier however is to download the WaypointsCreator utility program to create a waypoint file in a few seconds by point-and-click.

I have been using your software without problems for some time now. Now I get an Unhandled Exception Error Message each time I start the program. Please help!
Sometimes a settings file gets corrupted when the program is ended in a non-expected way, e.g. when your PC breaks down, or you end the program with the windows task manager. In such a case you can simply delete the following xml files: Settings.xml and Instruments.xml. The program will create them again automatically at next start.
Of course you have to make all your preferences again in this case. You will find the location of the xml settings files by opening the Help/About menu. You find the location of the files there. By default they are placed here: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\NemaStudio
