The File Menu

Open Logfile

The Logfile will log all data that is going out and coming in. It is a standard ASCII text file that can be opened and edited with a common text editor like Windows Notepad.

Opening an existing file will cause new data to be appended to the end of the file.

As long as a Logfile is active, an indicator will be visible above the cockpit panel to remind you that data is written to the Logfile.

The menu text "Open Logfile" changes into "Close Logfile" after a logfile is opened. An open Logfile can be closed and re-opened any time.

Exit

This will close the program. Note that the current values of open instruments will not be saved automatically. If you want to save these before exiting the program, you have to "Exit and Save" each open instrument before exiting the NemaTalker program, so they will be available next time you start NemaTalker.
